milonic Dr. Tahir Abbas

Moseley CDT held its Annual General Meeting for 2005 on Monday 26th September. When the normal AGM business of approving minutes, hearing reports and electing members was done, we were introduced to our guest speaker, Dr. Tahir Abbas, who lectures in the Department of Sociology at Birmingham University. His areas of interest include Race, Ethnicity and Multiculturalism in Britain. He is director of the Centre for the Study of Ethnicity and Culture.

Tahir gave an interesting and thought-provoking presentation entitled "Building a Stronger Moseley". You can download the presentation, or simply click the link to open it in a new window. For best results you should maximise the new window then switch to full-screen mode. If you have not used PowerPoint before, here's a hint: The space bar or enter key will move you on to the next slide.

Depending on which internet browser you are using, you may require Microsoft PowerPoint to view the presentation. You can download the ppt viewerfree PowerPoint viewer from Microsoft if you do not already have the full PowerPoint product.
