Ensure the appartments due to be built by the Prince of Wales are in keeping with the architecture of Moseley. It should be vertually impossible to tell that these apartments are new. The ground floor of these appartments could include a Marks & Spensor's or a Watrose. Ensure a noise survey is carried out and that the appartments incorporate the necessary sound insulating measures. It would be a great shame if the appartments killed off the vibrant Prince Of Wales pub. Their beer garden has become the 'place to be' on a sunny day. 30/06/2010 - 15:48 BP7-254 Visitor
1.make the village green much bigger by moving the bus stop and taxi spaces. 2.regulating drinking times especially at weekends. 3. moseley has recently turned into a ' broad street' type area at weekends with all that goes with it including binge drinking and violence. this trend needs to be reversed. 4.please can we have hanging baskets and flower containers that are not made of ugly plastic. 5. make the environment safer for pedestrians 6.the state of the paving slabs on the alcester road from the lights up to king davids school is a disgrace with inadequate repairs. 07/06/2010 - 15:07 BP7-253 Visitor
By encoraging more independent yet quality retailers to the village. I am horrifed that we may well have yet another chain supermarket in the guise of the most dreaded Tesco. In my experience the prospect of Tesco in Moseley is universally disliked. 01/06/2010 - 14:01 BP7-252 Visitor
enforce landlords to maintain the upkeep of their properties. do not allow the village centre to become over run with kebab shops and chicken outlets like the rest of birmingham. give encouragement and incentives to new and different, innovative businesses, shops, restaurants. keep moseley creative. sort out the potholes!!! 20/05/2010 - 20:39 BP7-251 Visitor
More nice markets in the central area. No more pubs. More interesting shops. Less tramps in the central seating area / by St Mary's church. 19/05/2010 - 11:14 BP7-250 Visitor
By pedestrianising the area, only allowing busses and bicycles to move through the centre, by turning the carpark into a proper park. Car parks with shuttle busses from the outskirts. 17/05/2010 - 15:39 BP7-249 Visitor
Re-route larger vehicles away from the village. Can we have specified hours for delivery vans, perhaps avoiding rush hour and school exit time? Can the city council renovate the pavements. Some, outside Wetherspoon's is a case in point, have been patched up so often that the patches are hazardous. Also the brick cobbles are difficult to walk in, particularly in heels. 13/05/2010 - 20:48 BP7-248 Wil Baldwin
Make the village green more grassy On farmers' market days and during Moseley's festivals make the Alcester Road from Reddings Road to the Balsall Heath lights, Salisbury Road to Amesbury Road closed to cars. It would be open to buses, taxis, electric vehicles and bikes. This would make it far more relaxing and discourage car use. We need to cherish Moseley's character and its independent businesses. Two supermarkets are enough. 13/05/2010 - 20:28 BP7-247 Wil Baldwin
All shop signs should fit in with the conservation area status. More high-quality shops needed for presents and cards, grocers, butcher. 13/05/2010 - 10:52 BP7-246 Wil Baldwin
Keep phasing if traffic lights under review as the crossroads are so dangerous. 13/05/2010 - 10:40 BP7-245 Wil Baldwin
Get rid of the pubs 13/05/2010 - 10:36 BP7-244 Wil Baldwin
Reduce traffic 13/05/2010 - 10:34 BP7-243 Wil Baldwin
More pedestrian-friendly initiatives 13/05/2010 - 10:32 BP7-242 Wil Baldwin
Turn Meteor Ford site into a mixed-use, mini arts and crafts market, selling work by Birmingham's creative and crafts people and creating units for small businesses. Promote this as a tourist destination. Have a permanent "created in Birmingham" shop, following on from the pop-up one in the Bull Ring. 13/05/2010 - 10:27 BP7-241 Wil Baldwin
Deal with absent landlords - make better use of the flats above the shops, reduce rents. High street is too busy. Not Pedestrian friendly. Pavements are too narrow, roads are too wide. Perhaps a car park near the station. There's an excess of Pubs. Close the slip road and pedestrianise it. 11/05/2010 - 16:22 BP7-240 Tony Thapar
1. railway station needed 2. No overdevelopment of the meteor ford site 3. More parking would be good 4. Better maintenance of streets 5. Better signposting of events 6. Pedestrianisation: Close slip Road between Alcester rd and St. Mary's Road. 7. Pedestrianisation: Woodbridge Road. 11/05/2010 - 16:00 BP7-239 Tony Thapar
appoint a dedicated "village centre manager". Kings Heath has Nikki Carr but although she supposedly covers Moseley as well. Can only see K/heath benefiting! Block off St. Mary's Row to make the village green pedestrian only. Give go ahead to the tolkien Freebeard sculpture - would be great for tourism. more pedestrian crossing in the centre- zebra crossin would be fine. Public art. 10/05/2010 - 12:02 BP7-237 Tony Thapar
Extend the retail frontage design to alcester road shops as in St. Mary's Row, to enhance conservation status. Need to define core shopping area and ban any more take-a-way shops, pubs and betting shops. 10/05/2010 - 11:57 BP7-236 Tony Thapar
prevent tescos opening a supermarket on the meteor ford site. Experiment with a diagonal crossing at Moseley traffic lights. 10/05/2010 - 11:52 BP7-235 Tony Thapar
Continue efforts to make the village centre look more attractive eg. improve pavements, control shop front design and encourage "useful" retail outlets. We ahve the Oxfam bookshops , need a good staioners. 10/05/2010 - 11:49 BP7-234 Tony Thapar
