Introduction

My name is Mr. Kirpal Singh and I am working as a volunteer for Moseley Community Development Trust. Currently, I’m researching the feasibility of a community transport project for Moseley. If a Moseley Community Transport project were to be created, below is an outline strategy for it.

Community Transport

The Aim

To help community groups and disadvantaged people have access to local transport in and around Moseley.

Objectives

  • To offer a new community service.
  • Reduce traffic congestion and pollution, which would result in a safer environment for the young and old.
  • Improve community cohesion and prevent isolation for residents.
  • Encourage use of the local shops, meeting places and health facilities.

Your Feedback is requested

It would be of great help to get any comments and suggestions you may have and about transport needs of community groups that you’re in touch with. Your support to address this issue is appreciated.

Hopefully, if we can generate enough interest in the scheme it can be run on a regular basis for the community. Obviously, there’s still a lot of planning and fundraising to do. But that’s only worth doing if there’s a demand for the service. If this scheme is of interest or you can suggest any alternative, we would welcome any feedback and support from your organisation.
