What are DA’s?Locally based and well established voluntary organisations who have experience, knowledge and skills about developing, running and sustaining voluntary and community organisations. This can be shared with other less established locally based organisations. Why?The voluntary and community sector is expected to play a larger role in delivering services, therefore Development Agencies can help support the development of the voluntary and Community sector locally. How do they operate? Each Development Agency is unique and will respond to needs which will vary from locality to locality. But generally, Development Agencies will help develop local voluntary and community organisations by offering support, guidance, training opportunities and learning resources. This could be on a one-one basis or otherwise. Who and Where? There are currently nine Development Agencies in the Birmingham and North Solihull area.
