Here is a mail I received from David Isgrove, of Moseley Forum, founder and chief organiser of Moseley Farmers Market

Hi all,

Unbeknown to us, we've been visited by one of the top chefs of the UK and are in the last 18 for being the most popular farmers' market in the UK.

Country Life divided the UK into 6 regions, with the top chef of each looking at the markets in their region. We are one of the top 3 selected for our region.

It's all in this coming week's County Life - out on Thurs.

Thence follows a campaign to get the public to vote for the best. We're being sent posters and forms for this - and you can vote on-line at www.countrylife.co.uk/farmersmarkets This will be open for voting until Oct 12th.

So it's all go for the next market.

The numbers won't totally dictate because they recognise that footfall will vary - but it's the comments that matter.

Then they'll decide the 6 regional winners on 23 Nov. By then they would have visited again in secret to make their final 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the UK to be announced on 30 Nov.

Please pass this on to people and try to get to see a copy. We'll need as much help at the next FM to get people to vote there and then (otherwise they'll forget).

Isn't it a good marketing ploy!!! But we'll be able to claim to be amongst the best if not 1st, 2nd or 3rd.

Kind regards,
David
