Tourism & Leisure Industries
Moseley should aim to create more jobs in the tourism and leisure industries. Moseley already has some of the best resturants, pubs and bars in Birmingham and boasts a thriving night time economy. It would be good if we could build on this, as well as encouraging more day time tourism.
Moseley has many potential tourest attractions and existing tourest attractions which could be improved or publisised more. These are:
- Sarhole Mill
- Moseley Bog
- Chaimberlain House
- Uffcullme Centre (formaly the Cadbury family home)
- Moseley Road Baths
- Moseley School of Art
- Balti Triangle
- Moseley Folk Festival
- Mostley Jaz Festival
- Farmers Market
- Local Parks - Cannon Hill Park, Highbury Park, Moseley Park, Balsall Heath Park
- Architecture of Moseley Village
- Conservation areas
- Some of the best high quality pubs/bars in Birmingham
- Good resturants
- Art galleries
- Antiques shops
- The MAC
Some of the above would require a change of use or ownership in order to become tourest attractions. The Baths could be turned into a living museum. The Moseley School of Art could be turned into a modern art gallery and museum. Chaimberlain House and the Uffcullme Centre could be doneted to the National Trust.
