Everyone should get behind the campaign to save Moseley Road Baths. It is a beautiful building and should be restored to it's former glory. It would be a shame if it were lost. I think if it were created as a spa (but still with public swimming facilities) then I think money could be made to offset what is spent on the restoration.

Moseley Road baths are NOT in Moseley! Why don't you understand this?...the baths are only being used as pawn by local political low-life, to con votes out of people. The baths are in Balsall Heath and are the concern of the people of Balsall Heath and the councillors in Balsall Heath! Moseley Road baths have NOTHING to do with Moseley!

The Moseley Road Baths may not be in Moseley, but that doesn't mean the people of Moseley shouldn't support the campain to save the baths. They are probably used by the people of Moseley the most. There is no swimming baths in Moseley itself.

Also Moseley Road is the gateway to Moseley from the North and may people think of Moseley Road as part of Mosely. The sucess of Moseley Road effects people's perseption of the whole of Moseley.

The Moseley Baths should be donated to English Hettitage. It should then be turned into a 'living history' museum, similar to the Sarrisons Head/Old Grammer School in Kings Norton. School children would come to the Moseley Road Baths and dress up in Victorian swimming costumes. They could then swim and bathe as the Victorians would have done. They would learn about the Victorians as they did this.

The Moseley Road Baths would work better as a tourest attraction instead off a swimming pool. It was designed to be a baths and not a swimming pool. It would tie in with other Victorian tourest attractings in the area such as Chaimberlain House, the Cadbury's family home (Uffcullme Centre) and the Old Grammer School in Kings Norton. A new 25m swimming pool could then be built in Balsall Heath.
